Third-party cookies

Other cookies may be installed by visiting the sites pages, but these are managed exclusively by third parties. These cookies will only be installed if the site owner enables the relevant functionalities provided by the platform. In particular:

Facebook: Facebook social plugins are operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 South California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA. The Facebook plugins are represented by the Facebook logo or the “Like-Button” (“Like”), which can be found on the website pages. You can find an overview of Facebook-plugins here: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/. These plug-ins are used for content sharing. In order to use these plugins, Facebook provides a cookie that is necessary for their operation. When you visit pages on the website that contain the plugin, it establishes a direct connection between your browser and the Facebook server. Facebook then receives the information that you have visited the site with your IP address. If you click on the Facebook “Like” button while logged into your Facebook account, you can link the content of the pages of the site you visit to your Facebook profile. In this way, Facebook can correlate your visit to the site with the user account you are using. If you do not wish Facebook to make such a connection, you must log out of your Facebook account before accessing the site. We would like to point out that we have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or the use made of it by Facebook. For further information, please refer to Facebook’s privacy policy at http://it-it.facebook.com/policy.php and the following link: https://www.facebook.com/help/206635839404055.

Google: Google+ social plugins are operated by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). Google plugins are represented by the Google logo on the web pages of the site. When you visit a page on the site that contains such a plugin, your browser connects directly to Google’s servers. The content of the plugin is directly transmitted by Google to your browser, which then incorporates it into the website. We therefore have no control over the data that Google collects via the plugin. If you do not wish Google to link your visit to the pages of the site to your Google account, you must log out of your Google account before accessing the site. The purpose and scope of the data collection, its subsequent processing and use by Google, as well as your rights in this respect and the various possible settings to protect your privacy can be found in Google’s data protection guidelines for plugins: www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/.

Google Analytics: Google Analytics is a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA), for the purpose of browsing history, counting visits, navigation statistics. The information and privacy notices concerning the operation and consent to the use of Google cookies are available at the following links:

Twitter: The social plugin Twitter is operated by Twitter Inc. (795 Folsom St., Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). An analytical illustration of the individual plugins provided can be found at the following link: https://developer.twitter.com/en/docs/twitter-for-websites/tweet-button/overview. The Privacy Policy of Twitter can be found at the following address: https://twitter.com/it/privacy.

Pinterest: The plugins of the social network Pinterest, are operated by Pinterest Inc., 635 High Street, Palo Alto, CA, 94301, USA (“Pinterest”). The various logos containing the plugin (e.g. “Pin-it-Button” or the “P” button) can be viewed at the following link: https://developers.pinterest.com/docs/widgets/save/. When Internet pages of the site containing this plugin are called up, a link is created between your computer and the Pinterest servers and the plugin is represented on the Internet page by means of communication to your browser. In order to do this, both your IP address and information about the website pages you have visited are transmitted to the Pinterest server in the USA. This applies regardless of whether you are registered on Pinterest. Transmission also takes place for non-registered users. If you are also a user of Pinterest and are logged into Pinterest at the time you use the plugin, the information collected through your site visit is linked to your Pinterest account and made known to other users. If you do not want Pinterest to link the information to your Pinterest account data, you must log out of Pinterest before visiting the website that uses the plugin. Further information on the collection and use of data by Pinterest can be found at https://policy.pinterest.com/it/privacy-policy.

How to decline cookies

By default, almost all web browsers are set to automatically accept cookies. Visitors can set their computer’s browser to accept/reject all cookies or to display a warning whenever a cookie is proposed, in order to be able to assess whether or not to accept it.

The user is entitled, however, to change the default browser configuration and disable cookies (i.e. block them permanently) by setting the highest level of protection.
